Aubameyang dismisses transfer talk

Speaking French outlet RMC Sport after his team’s 2-0 triumph over Manchester United at the Emirates on Wednesday, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has played down reports linking him with departure from Arsenal.

Aubameyang didn’t score in this game, but his industrious effort was a constant source of threat down the left flank which the visitors had to work hard to cope with, but his quality is probably one of the few Arsenal-related matters that has never been in any doubt.

His future, however, has. There were numerous rumours linking him with Barcelona who are apparently seeking for a player to cover and ultimately replace Luis Suarez, as well as claiming that Real Madrid were preparing a bid for his services.

Aubameyang’s reply to the questions about those stories was simple and clear. He said the press in England like to ‘talk too much’ and that his mind is at the moment 100% at Arsenal.
