Bale open to Serie A move

According to Tuttosport, the agent of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale has refused to rule out his client moving to Serie A at some point in the future.

Jonathan Barnett, who represents the Welshman, spoke to the Turin-based outlet and admitted that the move of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus earlier this year has made the world’s best players consider playing in Italy’s top flight again. He also said Bale was happy at Santiago Bernabeu, but when discussing the future it’s impossible to rule anything out.

Since his move from Tottenham Hotspur, the winger has made 206 appearances and scored 92 goals in all competitions for the Champions League holders. He helped them win Europe’s elite competition four times.

Bale loved playing with Ronaldo, according to Barnett, but he’s also happy for the Portuguese superstar to still be playing at a big club. It remains to be seen which of Italian giants would be willing to part with a sum large enough to prize the 29-year-old from the clutches of Real Madrid.
