It seems revealing contract details when it comes to Barcelona and their transfer business is becoming popular these days. It had only just emerged that the Catalan giants would have to pay an additional premium of €100million to sign another Liverpool player before 2020, when out comes a new story, this time laid bare by German outlet Die Welt, that they would also need to make an extra payment to Borussia Dortmund should they decide to part ways with Ousmane Dembele.
The 21-year-old French international had a few disciplinary issues recently as he missed a few training sessions and failed to report the reason for it in due time, which resulted in him being dropped out of the squad for Barcelona’s La Liga defeat at home to Real Betis, as well as some public criticism from his teammates.
Speculations about his future have come in thick since then, but this added expense, reportedly an add-on amounting to €40million to the original €105million fee, might nudge the club into giving the winger another chance.
