Barcelona are confident of signing Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that La Liga powerhouse Barcelona remain in talks with Premier League giants Chelsea over signing defender Azpilicueta.
Azpilicueta has been on the books of Chelsea since 2012 and is a club legend. The Spain international right-back has won the Premier League title twice, the FA Cup once, the EFL Cup on one occasion, the UEFA Champions League in 2021, and the UEFA Europa League twice. Azpilicueta has scored 10 goals and created 37 big chances in 324 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
90min have added that Azpilicueta, who can also operate as a right-back, has agreed personal terms with Barcelona already, and now the former La Liga and UEFA Champions League champions are in talks over Chelsea over a transfer fee.
