Barcelona confirmed Robert Lewandowski suffered a hamstring injury during their 4-3 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.

Lewandowski, who made his 100th LaLiga appearance in that game, went down clutching his leg late on before having to leave the pitch in the 78th minute.

Barcelona did not give a timeline on his return, but Spanish media reports suggest he could be sidelined for three weeks.

If that is the case, he would be out of next weekend’s Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and make him a doubt for their Champions League semi-final against Inter, with the first leg taking place on April 30.

“Tests carried out this Sunday have confirmed that first-team player Robert Lewandowski has an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left thigh,” Barca said in a statement.

“His return to team training will depend on how the injury progresses.”

Lewandowski is the leading scorer in LaLiga this season with 25 goals, three more than Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe (22).

In all competitions, he has netted 40 goals, at least 10 more than Raphinha (30). His tally has come from 147 shots worth 37.56 expected goals (xG). He boasts a 27.21% shot conversion rate.
