Barcelona eye free transfer signing of Naby Keita

Barcelona are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita in the summer of 2023, according to Sport. The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are looking at signing free agents next summer, and that Guinea international Keita is on their radar.

Keita has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool since his move from RB Leipzig and has also had injury problems. The 27-year-old has made only 76 appearances in the Premier League for the Reds so far in his career. Keita has scored seven goals and created nine big chances in those matches.

Barcelona are at the top of the La Liga table at the moment with 22 points from eight matches, level on points with last season’s champions and bitter rivals Real Madrid, who are currently second. Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves 10th in the Premier League table with 10 points from eight games.
