Barcelona set De Jong price

Barcelona have set their price for Frenkie De Jong at a whopping €100 million, according to Sport.

The Catalan club are only prepared to listen to offers for the services of the Dutch midfielder because they need an influx of cash, and it is a problem they would like to solve with one big-money sale. However, they have no intention of letting De Jong go for anything less than what they believe is his market value, which is apparently €100m.

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Barcelona and the two clubs are in talks about a potential transfer of the 25-year-old Netherlands international, with Erik ten Hag apparently keen to reunite with the player he used to coach for a while at Ajax.

Nothing is, however, advanced yet. Other clubs have expressed an interest as well, so Barcelona shouldn’t be short on offers.

Meanwhile, De Jong himself is said to be a bit reluctant to leave the Camp Nou at the moment.
