Barcelona to target Koulibaly?

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona have made Kalidou Koulibaly their primary defensive target for the upcoming summer transfer window, amid reports of uncertainty clouding his future at Napoli.

The Catalan club was said to be close to reaching an agreement to sign Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpiliueta form Chelsea, both as free agents at the end of the season, but it appears Koulibaly has taken the spotlight in their plans.

Having won the African Cup of Nations with Senegal this year, the 30-year-old centre-back is looking as good as ever, and there was a time not long ago when he was counted among the best in the world in his position. His contract with Napoli is set to enter its final 12 months this summer, and the reports about a stumbling block being hit in his talks with the Serie A club over a new deal would surely attract attention from clubs around Europe.
