Benitez offered new Newcastle deal?

According to a recent report from The Mirror, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has been offered a new deal to remain on Tyneside. Benitez’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, and up to this point, he has given no indication one way or another as to what decision he will make.

Benitez wants some assurances over what he will be able to do in the summer transfer window, which makes sense, given how many issues he’s had in this department in the past. Rafa has been known to tussle with Mike Ashley over issues such as these, with the fans being desperate to see some more big signings.

Rafa is still considered to be a world class manager and there are very few fans or media members who would deny that, which is one of the many reasons why everyone is so desperate to see him stay at St James’ Park.
