Besiktas keen on Stephan Lichtsteiner

Turkish giants Besiktas are weighing up late move for Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, according to beIN Sports.

The Swiss defender has been deemed surplus to requirements in Turin and he has a deal due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

With the transfer window in Turkey open for another couple of days, a summer exit is a realistic possibility as well, seeing that Besiktas are hot on his trail.

The Black Eagles have some very good options at the back, but right-sided defender Gokhan Gonul is currently out injured.

Stephan Lichtsteiner has performed admirably since joining from Lazio six years ago, but he is no longer an undisputed starter and is widely expected to leave in the near future.
