Birmingham fans riot after the Aston Villa game (Video)

Birmingham City achieved a big success as they qualified for the Carling Cup semi-finals at the expense of their bitter rivals Aston Villa, but the victory was marred by fan trouble after the match.

The Blues fans invaded the pitch and threw flares at their Aston Villa counterparts, injuring 14 people, including 4 policemen in the process.

The incident happened at a worst possible time as there are fears the fan trouble at St Andrew’s could hurt England’s 2018 World Cup bid.
