Bitesize Prediction: Bournemouth vs Southampton – 19/10/22

Competition: Premier League

Market: Bournemouth draw no bet

Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

In a real south coast derby showdown on Wednesday night, Bournemouth will welcome Southampton to the Vitality.

Starting with the hosts, while Bournemouth might have been disappointed to have thrown away the lead twice a few days ago, the Cherries should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Despite eventually playing out a lively 2-2 draw at fellow Premier League returners Fulham, they are clearly enjoying life under interim boss Gary O’Neil. Only continuing on what has been an extended purple patch on either side of September’s international break, Bournemouth open the midweek fixtures battling it out in the top-half of the table. Impressing at home against Leicester on October 10th as they claimed a 2-1 victory, O’Neil’s temporary side have also gained a reputation for their spirited approach. Unbeaten in each of their last six Premier League outings, the Cherries should be smelling the chance to lay down another marker on Wednesday night.

As for the visitors, while Southampton might have managed to cling onto a 1-1 draw at home against West Ham over the weekend, the Saints are in the midst of another downbeat run of form. Heavily outplayed at St. Mary’s a few days ago, it appears that there is real pressure on Ralph Hasenhüttl’s shoulders. Although the former RB Leipzig boss might have seen his side stun Chelsea back on August 30th, that looks to have just been a minor boost for Wednesday’s guests. In fact, now collecting just a single point from any of their previous five Premier League outings, Southampton have gained a reputation for their extended issues at the back. Making the midweek trip to the Vitality sat in the relegation zone and facing what could be a tough derby showdown, we’re backing a home draw no bet here.

Bet: Bournemouth draw no bet against Southampton 1/1 for Tuesday’s Premier League matchup @ 888sport
