Competition: National League

Market: Woking win

Odds: 7/5 @ 888sport

Looking to extend their buffer in the play-off places on Wednesday night, Woking will make the trip to Hayes Lane when they meet Bromley.

Starting with the hosts, while Bromley might have been last seen snatching a point away at Notts County, that result shouldn’t cover what has been a downbeat run for Andy Woodman’s side. Despite sitting just a single point adrift of breaking back into the play-off places, the Londoners have now failed to win any of their previous six matchups across all formats. With that nightmare spell stemming all the way back to October 4th, the Ravens have also shown some extended issues at the back. Likewise, along with crashing out of the FA Cup last month following a shock 2-1 loss against lower league Hereford, Bromley will also be worried by their recent struggles on home soil. Including a dreadful 3-1 defeat at the hands of Barnet in their last appearance at Hayes Lane, Woodman’s side could face another stern test here.

As for the visitors, while Bromley might be in the midst of an extended rut, the same cannot be said for a high-flying Woking. Last seen picking up a deserved 1-0 victory at home against Yeovil, Darren Sarll’s side have skyrocketed their way up the National League table. Now appearing to be sat in pole position to claim a play-off finish this season, the Cardinals are enjoying a five-match unbeaten run. Including a 2-1 win against a high-flying Southend in the FA Cup last month, it should be highlighted that Woking have taken 10 points from their last four fifth-tier outings. With their recent purple patch also highlighted by a 3-1 romp against Gateshead in their last appearance on the road, Sarll’s side should be smelling the chance to lay down another marker on Wednesday night.

Bet: Woking 7/5 to beat Bromley in Wednesday’s National League matchup @ 888sport
