Competition: League Two

Market: Salford draw no bet

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Looking to make it three wins on the bounce this weekend, Salford will make the trip to Colchester on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Colchester might have claimed a much-needed 3-0 victory against Doncaster last month, it appears that was just a minor boost for the League Two strugglers. Last seen putting in another toothless display as they were hit with a 1-0 loss away at Sutton, the Essex-based outfit find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat one-point adrift in the drop zone, Matt Bloomfield’s men are enduring a real crisis. Along with losing each of their last three matchups across all formats, Colchester have also recorded just a single win from any of their last 12 appearances. With that woeful spell stemming all the way back to October 8th, it should also be highlighted that the U’s currently hold the third-worst defensive tally in England’s fourth-tier.

As for the visitors, while Salford might have eventually missed out on a play-off spot last season, Neil Wood’s men are desperate to go one step further this time around. Although the Ammies might have shown some extended inconsistencies this year, they do appear to have found a welcomed boost on either side of the extended break. Last seen putting in a thumping display as they cruised their way to a 3-0 romp away at Gillingham, the Manchester-based outfit have now clinched back-to-back victories across all formats. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat just two points adrift of finding a route into the play-off places, Salford should also be boosted by their last trip to Essex. Claiming a deserved 2-0 win when they traveled to the JobServe Community Stadium 14 months ago, we’re backing an away draw no bet here.

Bet: Salford draw no bet against Colchester 19/20 for Saturday’s League Two matchup @ 888sport
