Competition: League One

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Hoping to widen their buffer in the automatic promotion places on Saturday lunchtime, Ipswich will make the trip to St James Park when they meet Exeter.

Starting with the hosts, despite only making their League One return over the summer, Exeter have continued on what has been a hugely impressive run of form. Last seen laying down a real marker as they picked up an action-packed 3-2 victory against promotion contenders Peterborough, Gary Caldwell’s men have gained plenty of praise from across England’s third-tier. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat just three points adrift of finding a shock route into the play-off places, the Grecians have lost just one of their last five outings. Including opening November with another 3-2 win away at Port Vale, Exeter have found a recent clinical edge in the final third. While Saturday’s hosts might have recorded just a single clean sheet since October 8th, they have bagged eight goals in just their last three appearances.

As for the visitors, while Ipswich might have been disappointed after settling for a 1-1 draw at home against Cheltenham last weekend, the Trotters are enjoying their own extended unbeaten run. Battling it out at the top of the League One table and with a Championship return at the top of their agenda this season, Kieran McKenna’s men will be desperate to lay down another marker here. It should be highlighted, on a run that is underlined by a remarkable 4-4 draw away at Charlton on October 29th, the one-time Manchester United coach has seen his side gain a reputation for their lively outcomes. Along with extending on their FA Cup adventure earlier in the month thanks to a 3-0 win against lower-league Bracknell, Ipswich have bagged 12 strikes on their five-match unbeaten run.

Bet: Both teams to score at Exeter vs Ipswich 4/5 for Saturday’s League One showdown @ 888sport
