Competition: National League North
Market: King’s Lynn win
Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport
Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the National League North table, King’s Lynn will make the trip to Yorkshire on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Farsley might have clung to their sixth-tier status last season, they once again find themselves at the heart of another relegation scrap. Last seen over the weekend putting in another toothless display as they were hit with a 1-0 loss away at Peterborough Sports, the Yorkshire-based outfit have now lost three of their previous four National League North contests. Opening the midweek fixtures sat five points adrift of safety, Russ Wilcox will also have a headache over his side’s extended issues in the final third. Along with suffering a routine 4-0 drumming at the hands of Southport on November 12th, Farsley have drawn a blank in three of their last four appearances. Likewise, getting hit with a 2-0 loss against Chester in their last showdown at The Citadel, Wilcox’s men should face another tough test here.
As for the visitors, managing to make a much-welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend, King’s Lynn will be desperate to build on that display. Eventually picking up a 2-1 victory at home against Hereford, the Norfolk-based outfit have their sights set on clinching an immediate National League return this season. Opening the midweek fixtures sat just three points adrift of leapfrogging league leaders Brackley Town, Tommy Widdrington’s men have lost just one of their previous eight sixth-tier contests. With that eye-catching run of form stemming all the way back to September 27th, the Blues should also be boosted by their most recent showdown against Tuesday’s hosts. Claiming a 2-1 win when they last faced off against Farsley at The Citadel back in 2019, we’re backing an away draw no bet here.
