Competition: Brazil Serie B

Market: Guarani win

Odds: 5/4 @ 888sport

Looking to claim back-to-back Serie B victories in the early hours of Wednesday, Guarani will welcome Novorizontino to Sao Paulo.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make an immediate return to winning ways over the weekend, there is no doubt that Guarani will be looking to build off of that success. Last seen picking up a 1-0 victory away at relegation scrappers Operario, Mozart’s side will also be glad to make a return to home soil here. Desperate to try and widen their buffer over the drop zone, the Sao Paulo-based outfit have gained a recent reputation for their eye-catching displays at the Estádio Brinco de Ouro. Including a thumping 3-0 win against Sampaio Correa, Guarani have now won each of their last three straight Serie B showdowns in front of their own supporters. Likewise, potentially smelling the chance to claim back-to-back second-tier victories here, Mozart’s men have also lost just a single matchup on home soil since the middle of July.

As for the visitors, after drawing a line under their extended rut with an impressive 2-0 win at home against Gremio, Novorizontino will be looking to prove that was not just a minor bounce. However, despite ending their five-match winless run last weekend, Léo Condé’s side also find themselves looking over their shoulder at the drop zone. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a sluggish 2-1 loss away at Sampaio Correa, Wednesday’s guests have gained a reputation for their extended issues on the road. In fact, along with losing each of their last three straight Serie B away matchups, it should also be noted that Novorizontino have collected just a single point from their previous seven showdowns away from the Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi.

Bet: Guarani 5/4 to beat Novorizontino in Wednesday’s Brazil Serie B battle @ 888sport
