Bitesize Prediction: Liechtenstein vs Andorra – 22/09/22

Competition: Nations League

Market: Andorra win

Odds: 5/4 @ 888sport

Hoping to make an immediate return to winning ways on Thursday night, Andorra will make the trip to a struggling Liechtenstein.

Starting with the hosts, last seen opening this year’s Nations League adventure back in June with another nightmare run of form, Liechtenstein have only cemented their spot as European whipping boys. Heading into the summer break with a routine 2-0 loss at home against Latvia, Martin Stocklasa’s men are yet to get a single League D point on the board from their opening four appearances. Sat rock-bottom of the table and tipped as a landslide pick to lift the wooden spoon, the Blues have lost each of their previous 10 outings across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to a 1-1 draw against Armenia 12 months ago. Likewise, managing to muster just a single strike on their woeful 10-match losing run, Liechtenstein should be bracing themselves for another tough test here.

As for the visitors, after heading into the summer break with a downbeat display away at Moldova, Andorra will be seeking an immediate response on Thursday night. Despite being last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss on foreign soil, Koldo Álvarez’s men should be smelling a golden chance here. Suffering just a pair of defeats from any of their previous six matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to November, the Reds will also be boosted by an eye-catching record against their midweek opponents. Including a 2-1 victory when they faced off against the European strugglers back on June 10th, Andorra have also claimed back-to-back victories against their League D rivals. Given the recent gulf in class, a similar away win can be found at appealing odds here.
