Competition: La Liga

Market: Real Betis double chance

Odds: 2/5 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on their impressive start to the 2022/23 La Liga campaign, Real Betis will make the trip to the Mallorca Estadi on Saturday evening.

Starting with the hosts, eventually dragging themselves over the finish line last season and hanging onto their La Liga status thanks to a one-point buffer, Mallorca could be heading for another relegation scrap this time around. However, opening the 2022/23 campaign with a hard-fought 0-0 stalemate away at Athletic Bilbao, Head Coach Javier Aguirre has seen his side enjoy a summer boost. Unbeaten in each of their six pre-season friendlies, the Pirates will be desperate to spring an upset on Saturday evening. Making their first appearance at the Mallorca Estadi this weekend, the one-time Espanyol boss did see his side sign off last season with a real flurry on home soil. Including a famous 1-0 victory against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid back on April 9th, Los Bermellones collected nine points from their final four La Liga matchups in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, after managing to clinch a European return last season, Real Betis certainly gained plenty of plaudits from across Spain. Signing off their summer preparations with a 3-1 victory against Italian outfit Fiorentina, Manuel Pellegrini’s men really impressed last weekend. Not really having to get out of third gear as they breezed their way to a 3-0 victory against Elche on home soil, the former West Ham boss will be calling on his side to keep up that momentum here. Looking to go one step further this time around and dreaming of a Champions League finish, the Seville-based outfit will be calling on attacking talisman Juanmi to lead their charge here. Including finding the net in Betis’ final two friendly contests this summer, the 29-year-old also bagged an eye-catching brace against Elche last weekend. Unbeaten in each of their last six meetings against Mallorca, we’re backing an away double chance here.

Bet: Real Betis double chance against Mallorca 2/5 for Saturday’s La Liga showdown @ 888sport
