Competition: Bundesliga II

Market: Hannover win

Odds: 11/8 @ 888sport

Hoping to find a route into the promotion spots on Friday evening, Hannover will make the trip to Heidelberg when they meet a struggling Sandhausen.

Starting with the hosts, while Sandhausen might have been last seen snatching a late 1-1 draw away at St. Pauli, it does not cover what has been a worrying start to the 2022/23 campaign. Despite picking up a 1-0 win at home against Dusseldorf on August 5th, Alois Schwartz’s men now find themselves in the midst of a five-match winless run. Likewise, managing to muster just a pair of points on their downbeat run of form, the Heidelberg-based outfit have really shown some extended issues at both ends of the pitch. Now holding just a three-point buffer from slipping into the relegation zone, Sandhausen have bagged just a single Bundesliga II in over 300 minutes of action. Despite holding an eye-catching record against Friday’s opponents, Schwartz’s side could be bracing themselves for a tough test here.

As for the visitors, despite being left disappointed to have had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Braunschweig last weekend, Hannover should still find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Making the trip to Heidelberg on Friday evening sat just a single point adrift of breaking into the promotion spots, Head Coach Stefan Leitl has seen his side gain plenty of praise from across Germany. Now mustering 13 points from their last five second-tier outings, Die Roten’s recent purple patch is highlighted by a 4-0 romp against Magdeburg on August 19th, the former Greuther Furth boss will be hoping for his side to lay down another marker here. Clinching back-to-back victories outside of Lower Saxony by an aggregate score of 5-0, we’re backing an away win on Friday evening.

Bet: Hannover 11/8 to beat Sandhausen in Friday’s Bundesliga II battle @ 888sport
