Desperate to find a route back into the play-off places on Saturday afternoon, Wrexham will travel to Bramall Lane when they meet Sheffield United.

Starting with the hosts, still scrapping it out in the bottom-half of the Championship table, Sheffield United have rightfully come under a huge amount of scrutiny. Last seen playing out a 1-1 stalemate away at Birmingham, Chris Wilder’s side have continued to gain a reputation for their glaring inconsistencies. Including a 2-1 loss against Norwich earlier in the month, the Blades have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous five Championship appearances. Likewise, including another 2-1 defeat at home against runaway leaders Coventry last month, Sheffield United have also won just a quartet of their last 14 outings across all competitions – a run that stems back to a 3-1 victory against Leicester on New Year’s Day. Mustering just a pair of clean sheets since back on December 20th, Saturday’s hosts have drastically failed to find any defensive stability. It should be noted, Wilder’s side have seen all of their last eight straight matchups at Bramall Lane finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, eventually falling to a disappointing 3-1 loss away at Watford on Tuesday night, Wrexham have sacrificed their spot in the play-off places. Knowing the importance of claiming an immediate response this weekend, Phil Parkinson’s side have registered just a single win from any of their previous four appearances across all competitions. Hit with a shock 2-1 defeat at home against Hull on March 10th, the Red Dragons have also recorded just a pair of clean sheets from any of their last eight outings. Watching their FA Cup adventure come to a dramatic end on March 7th as they fell to an action-packed 4-2 loss against Premier League giants Chelsea, Wrexham have also gained a reputation for their live out outcomes. Landing a remarkable 5-3 victory when they welcomed Sheffield United to the Racecourse Ground for their reverse Championship showdown on Boxing Day, neutrals will be hoping for another thriller this weekend.

Bet: Both teams to score at Sheffield United vs Wrexham 8/11 for Saturday’s Championship contest @ BetUS
