Competition: Brazil Serie B

Market: Vasco da Gama win

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on their recent purple patch, Vaso da Game will welcome Operario to the São Januário late on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, last seen putting in what was another impressive display on the road, the mood in Vasco’s camp should be at a real high. Eventually picking up a 1-0 victory against Londrina, there is no doubt that Maurício Souza’s men have their sights firmly set on clinching a return to Brazil’s top-flight this season. Continuing to impress many across Serie B since opening the 2022 campaign, the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit are now unbeaten in each of their last 13 matchups across all formats. With that stellar purple patch stemming wall the way back to March 20th, it should also be highlighted that Vasco have won four of their previous five domestic outings. Likewise, quickly gaining a reputation for their rugged displays at the back, Souza’s high-flying squad will be smelling the chance to lay down another marker here.

As for the visitors, while Vasco might find themselves enjoying a hugely impressive run of form, the same cannot be said for Operario. Last seen putting in another toothless display as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate away at Vila Nova, Head Coach Claudinei Oliveira has seen his side muster just a single point from any of their last five domestic contests. Likewise, only continuing to show some extended issues on the road, it should also be highlighted that the Paraná-based outfit have managed to win just a single contest on their travels from their last 10 attempts. Knowing that they will face another tough task when they travel to the São Januário late on Friday night, we’re backing a home victory here, even if we do think that it could turn out to be another low-scoring contest from Serie B.

Bet: Vasco da Gama 7/10 to beat Operario in Friday’s Brazil Serie B battle @ 888sport
