Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean admits that he will be looking to strengthen in every position in the January transfer window.
Blackburn suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on New Year’s day.
He told reporters after the match: “It’s going to be a gradual process. The owner has been quoted as saying ‘eventually’ they want to be challenging.
“I think it will be a gradual building process, I don’t think at all they are expecting to be challenging for Europe this season.”
“What we will do in the next transfer window as it opens up is we will try to get a few bodies in because we have nine players who are missing at the minute.
“We will probably strengthen in almost every area of the pitch to try to help the squad, and that’s what we need.”
