Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc believes highly-rated Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh will snub English Premier League suitors West Ham and stay with the French champions.

Asked on Friday if Chamakh, who was also been linked with a move to Arsenal, Blanc replied: “I’m not even going to ask myself that question because I think he is going to stay”.

“The situation is a lot clearer for the player than the media. It’s a situation which gives you a lot to write and talk about. We don’t listen to it. Marouane wants to leave for a big club but sadly for him, that big club hasn’t come in for him.”

“The biggest club that wishes to have him is this one, you know that better than me.”
