Both teams to score at Croatia vs Hungary 11/10 for Thursday’s EURO 2020 qualifier

Competition: EURO 2020 qualifier

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

With both sides handed the chance to enter the weekend topping Group E, Croatia will welcome Hungary to the Stadion Maksimir on Thursday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Croatia’s 4-0 win over Slovakia last month may have improved the mood around Zagreb and moved the World Cup finalists to top spot in Group E, they once again some crashing back down to earth on foreign soil. Only managing to pick up a 1-1 draw against Azerbaijan in their last appearance, Zlatko Dalić’s men have failed to find top gear. Including suffering a shock 2-1 defeat away in Hungary in their second qualifying outing, there still remains some defensive issues that need resolving. Thursday’s hosts have managed to record just a single clean sheet in any of their last eight matches, a run that stems back to October.

As for the visitors, while their 2-1 win over Croatia may have sent shockwaves across Europe, Hungary are in need of a bounce back. Losing their place in the top-two thanks to a surprise 2-1 defeat on home soil against Slovakia last month, Marco Rossi’s men have now suffered back-to-back defeats. While their defeat against Slovakia may have upset many around the Groupama Arena, they will travel to Zagreb looking to pull of another surprise victory on Thursday night. Now finding the net in all bar one of their last nine matchups across all formats, we’re backing a lively 90 minutes at the Stadion Maksimir.
