With their sights firmly set on securing a Premier League return next season, West Brom will make the trip to Rotherham on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, after picking up a 2-1 win away at Chesterfield last weekend, Rotherham will be looking to put their immediate League One return behind them. Eventually finishing four points adrift of securing their Championship status last season, a huge part of the Millers’ continued issues has been down to their defensive struggles. While the Reds may have proven to be a tough test for many in the final third last year, Paul Warne’s men have managed to record just a single clean sheet since the start of February and it is also worth noting that their only clean sheet came against non-league Parkgate earlier in the month. Also enduring a four-match losing run at the end of last season, Tuesday could prove to be another lively encounter in South Yorkshire.

As for the visitors, after crashing out of the play-offs in the semi-finals last season, West Brom have turned to former West Ham boss Slaven Bilić in an attempt to secure a Premier League return next year. After suffering four consecutive defeats before they made the trip to League One outfit Scunthorpe last weekend, the Baggies will be desperate to build off of their 4-0 victory at Glanford Park. Despite continuing to shine in the final third, fans in the Midlands will know that West Brom must improve on the defensive issues that haunted them last season. Now recording just a single clean sheet since the middle of April, no team in the top-seven held a worst defensive record than the Baggies. It is also worth noting that the two sides have previous of producing lively encounters. With the Baggies picking up a 2-1 win when the two sides met back in April, the last three matchups between the two sides have produced 14 goals.
