Brandt won’t rule out Leverkusen exit

Julian Brandt has refused to rule out leaving Bayer Leverkusen this summer, according to Bild.

Brandt was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool two years ago, but he then decided to stay with his club while Liverpool signed Mohamed Salah instead and didn’t look back for a long time. The link recently resurfaced as many outlets believe Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be going for an additional versatile forward, one who could complement his current attacking line as well as provide options for rotation, but it all remains in the realm of speculation with no sources able to get any confirmation from the club.

Apart from the Merseysiders, Borussia Dortmund and the two Madrid giants, Real and Atletico, have also been credited with interest in the 22-year-old winger.

Speaking to the German outlet, Brandt apparently said that the season should first be played to the end, and then he’ll take a look at where his current club are before making a decision.
