Tim Ream knows Charlotte FC must become more consistent as they prepare to return to Bank of America Stadium, where they have picked up their best results in 2025.

Charlotte have won all three of their home matches in MLS this season, but they have only taken one point from three games on their travels.

They were beaten 2-0 by the Colorado Rapids last week, but on Saturday, they have a chance to respond at home to Nashville SC, who also have 10 points on the board.

“We just gave so many easy balls away, a lot of sloppy passes, poor control on the ball, we were just really disconnected in general,” Ream told reporters of their loss last week.

“It’s the age-old saying, if you don’t take care of the ball and you make mistakes, teams are going to punish you and that’s what happened.”

Asked why Dean Smith’s team had performed better at Bank of America Stadium, Ream said: “Having our fans helps, I think that’s the big one.

“But that’s definitely something that has been discussed between ourselves as players. If we could play remotely close to the way we play at home [on the road], we’ll pick up wins regularly and that’s something we need to focus on.

“We’ve just started looking at Nashville on video, we have to be aware of how good they are on the counterattack, they’re good in transitional moments.

“But there’s also a lot of moments that we’re going to be able to take advantage of, when they get too tight or leave pockets of space in areas we are good at getting into.”

Nashville were beaten 2-1 by FC Cincinnati last time out, ending a three-match winning run that had lifted BJ Callaghan’s team into the playoff places.
