Chelsea demand £130m for Hazard

Chelsea have set the price for Eden Hazard to £130 million, according to Sky Sports.

The link between the Belgian star and the Spanish giants has been an inevitable occurrence in the media headlines for what seems like an age now, and with his contract about to enter the final 12 months, it’s been expected that a deal would finally happen this summer.

Forced to accept that Hazard wants to continue at the Santiago Bernabeu, Chelsea have agreed to name a price for letting him go, but that price is a lot heftier than Real’s valuation of the player. In the light of the fact that he only has a year remaining on his contract, Los Blancos believe he is worth no more than €100 million (£88.1 million), and even though Real and Hazard have reportedly agreed personal terms a while back, the difference in valuation is proving a huge stumbling block and the only reason why the deal hasn’t been done yet.

Club director Marina Granovskaia is handling the negotiations from Chelsea’s side, and she feels under no pressure to sell.
