Chelsea stance on signing Kevin De Bruyne

Chelsea are unlikely to try to sign Kevin De Bruyne in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. De Bruyne will leave Manchester City at the end of the season and has been linked with a move back to the Blues, but the London club are not looking to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

De Bruyne was on the books of Chelsea from 2012 until 2014 before leaving the London club for good. The Belgian flourished at VfL Wolfsburg and returned to the Premier League to play for Man City. The 33-year-old has been a great player for the Cityzens over the years and is an all-time great for last season’s Premier League champions.

During his time at the Etihad Stadium so far, De Bruyne has won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, the EFL Cup on five occasions, and the UEFA Champions League once. Man City have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup this season where they will face Nottingham Forest.
