Chelsea want Coutinho

According to a report from the Independent, Premier League side Chelsea are interested in the idea of bringing Philippe Coutinho back over to English football. Coutinho would be seen as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who seems to be moving closer and closer towards a switch to Real Madrid with each passing day. Coutinho hasn’t quite been able to find the kind of consistency that was expected of him when he transitioned over from Liverpool to Barcelona, and despite being there for just over a year, he may already be looking for an escape route.

The Blues aren’t the only high profile English team that have been linked with him, either, as Manchester United have also registered their interest. Somehow, though, it feels like Liverpool would have something to say about that.

Coutinho spent five years with the Reds before moving to Barca, and is also known for being a featured member of the Brazilian national team.
