Coady extends Blades deal

Liverpool youngster Conor Coady has extended his loan spell with League One side Sheffield United until the end of February, the Daily Star understands.

The defender moved to Bramall Lane on a temporary basis in the summer and has since turned out for the twenty-three times in all competitions, scoring his first ever senior club goal in the 1-1 draw at high-flying Leyton Orient back in November.

Manager Nigel Clough is glad to have kept the 20 year old on board, saying that it is beneficial for both the club and the player.

After a slow start to the season, United now sit three places above the relegation zone, and they will hope to extend the gap between themselves and the bottom four when they travel to second from bottom Notts County on Saturday afternoon.

The Blades are priced at 6/4 to secure what would only be their second away league win of the season.
