Confirmed: Valencia and Barcelona agree Neto deal

Valencia have confirmed that they have reached an agreement over the transfer of Norberto Murara – more commonly known as Neto.

The two clubs only yesterday made it public that they had reached an agreement over the transfer of Jasper Cillessen to Valencia for €35 million, but now it turns out there will be a goalkeeper moving in the other direction as well.

Neto started out with Atletico Paranaense in Brazil, and moved to Italy to join Fiorentina in January 2011. After four and a half seasons of gradual progress, he signed for Juventus where he failed to establish himself as the No.1 choice between the posts, and went on to join Valencia in the summer of 2017.

As was the case with Barcleona regarding Cillessen, Valencia took the opportunity to express their gratitude to Neto for his contribution and highly professional attitude in the two years he has spent at the Mestalla, helping the team secure Champions League football for next season and triumph over his new club in the Copa Del Rey final and win the trophy this year.
