Crystal Palace have made a bid for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton, according to The Guardian. The report has claimed that Premier League club Palace have offered Championship side Blackburn £18.5 million in transfer fees for Wharton.
Rovers have rejected Palace’s initial offer. The Guardian has claimed that Palace are considering a second bid for Wharton. Although Blackburn are willing to do a deal for the teenager in the final days of the January transfer window, they are adamant of keeping him at the club until the end of the season.
HITC has reported that Palace could now make a new bid of £20 million for Wharton, who is one of the best young midfielders in the Championship. The 19-year-old has made 22 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Blackburn this season. He has scored two goals and given three assists in those games.
