According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Crystal Palace have made an enquiry regarding the potential purchase of Everton forward Cenk Tosun. The 27 year old cost Everton £27 million when he made the move over from Besiktas last January, but he hasn’t really been able to catch fire as many people were expecting. Palace, on the other hand, appear to be desperate to add to their attacking options, especially with Borussia Dortmund sniffing around Wilfried Zaha. However, Everton aren’t willing to sanction a deal for Tosun until they’re confident that they can bring in a replacement of their own.
Tosun’s goalscoring record likely doesn’t warrant a big transfer fee, but you just never know what a fresh of pace can do for a player. That’s especially true for the Premier League, so perhaps it’s just a case of Goodison Park not being a great fit for the Turkish international.
