Derby 11/10 to beat Middlesbrough in Saturday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Derby win

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Desperate to kick-start their campaign and find some much-needed stability, Derby will welcome Middeslbrough to Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, after suffering a 2-0 defeat away at Hull last weekend, there is no doubt that Derby will be glad to make a return to Pride Park on Saturday. While they might remain some way off the pace and still looking to break into the top half, there is no doubt that new boss Phillip Cocu has seen his side save their best performances for home soil. Picking up a 1-0 win over Wigan in their last matchup at Pride Park, last year’s play-off finalists have won their last three consecutive victories in front of their own supporters and have not tasted defeat at home since the 20th of August.

As for the visitors, only managing to scrape a 0-0 draw at home against a Fulham side who spent 80% of the match playing with 10-men, the mood around the Riverside remains at a low. Still struggling to adjust to life under former defender Jonathan Woodgate, the Reds now find themselves in the drop zone and without a win since the 14th of September, a seven-match winless run. Along with now failing to record a single strike in their last three matchups on the bounce, they are also yet to record a single victory outside of the North East since opening the 2019/2020 Championship campaign.
