Doncaster complete Turnbull signing

Doncaster Rovers have completed the signing of former Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnbull, the Mail Online understands.

The 28 year old has been without a club since his contract as Stamford Bridge expired earlier this summer.

Turnbull made just nineteen appearances in all competitions during his four years in London, with just seven of those coming in the league.

He began his career with Middlesbrough back in 2002, though he was sent on loan to no less than five lower league clubs before making his Premier League debut for Boro against Bolton Wanderers in 2006, following an injury to Mark Schwarzer, who himself recently signed for Chelsea to provide back up f.

Another loan spell, this time with Cardiff City came in the 2007/08 campaign, before he returned to the Riverside stadium.

He chalked up a further twenty-five top flight appearances for the North East club, before moving to Chelsea on a free transfer in July 2009.
