Dortmund confirm Thorgan Hazard

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Monchengladbach on a five-year contract.

The potential move of his brother Eden from Chelsea to Real Madrid this summer seems to have triggered a mini domino effect in transfers, which ended in Thorgan’s arrival to the Signal Iduna Park. Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic from Dortmund as one of the players to possibly replace Eden, which left an opening for the younger brother to fill.

Thorgan Hazard was linked with a number of clubs looking for reinforcements in the attacking midfield section, including the likes of Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, but it seems that the most genuine of interests came from Dortmund.

The 26-year-old is very excited about starting a new chapter in his career as he prepares to help his new team mount another Bundesliga title challenge, after they were narrowly beaten this term by the title defenders Bayern.
