Ebanks-Blake pens Ipswich deal

Championship side Ipswich Town have signed striker Slyvan Ebanks-Blake until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The 27 year old had been without a club following his release from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season, when his contract expired.

Town boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor both worked with Ebanks-Blacke during their time at Molineux, while he has also played for Plymouth Argyle and Manchester United – the club where he began his career – though he only made two appearances, scoring his only goal in 4-1 League Cup third round victory over Barnet in 2005.

Meanwhile, his former Wolves teammate Stephen Hunt has signed a new deal with the Tractor Boys, which will keep him at Portman Road until the end of the season.

Ebanks-Blake is available to make his debut in Ipswich’s home match against managerless Watford on Saturday afternoon, and can be backed at a price of 6/1 to get the first goal of the game.
