Luka Jovic was signed and then sold to Real Madrid, which meant Eintracht Frankfurt were about to need a new striker. Why change something that brings results? Thus, Eintracht started looking to Serbia and Red Star youth products once again. And now the Bundesliga outfit seem very close to signing Dejan Joveljic.
The 19-year-old striker became part of Red Star’s senior team during the previous season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions, whilst also making two appearances in a tough Champions League group. Now Eintracht want to capitalize on him still not being completely proven at senior level and sign him for 4 million euros plus one million in add-ons.
Mozzart Sport also claim Red Star expected a little bit higher offer, but could be happy with the 10 per cent from the player’s next transfer. Joveljic, also born in Bijeljina, like Jovic, could be on his way to join compatriots Filip Kostic and Mijat Gacinovic, while Eintracht are reportedly also interested in Marko Grujic.
Eintracht are close to signing Dejan Joveljić from Red Star, according to Mozzart Sport.
After selling #Jović, Frankfurt could sign another 🇷🇸 striker, talented 19 y/o who scored 11 goals in 2018/19 & made #UCL debut.
