Eintracht want Grujic

A number of reports in Germany claim that Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in signing Marko Grujic from Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool signed the midfielder from Red Star Belgrade for around €5 million in 2016. He spent a year and a half on Merseyside before going to Cardiff City on loan for the second half of the 2017/18. The following summer he made his way to Germany on a season-long loan to Hertha Berlin. That move has been repeated for 2019/20 too, and his performances in the Bundesliga have been excellent.

Those well-versed with the way things are at Liverpool believe this summer will be the Serbia international’s last chance to convince manager Jurgen Klopp to keep him at Anfield, and that there won’t be any loan deals thereafter. He will either make the squad, or leave the club permanently. With Adam Lallana set to leave as a free agent and Xherdan Shaqiri likely to be moved on, there could be an opening Grujic might look to exploit, but if not, it seems Eintracht are willing to offer him a chance to return to Germany.
