El Clasico rivals vying for Lincoln

Spanish media outlet Marca is reporting that Real Madrid and Barcelona are locked in the battle for Flamengo starlet Lincoln Correa dos Santos.

The 16-year-old could follow in the footsteps of Vinicius Junior, who eventually moved to Santiago Bernabeu from Flamengo after snubbing an offer from Barcelona.

His international teammate Lincoln has also shown a great deal of potential, bagging 3 goals in 7 matches at the Under-17 World Cup in India.

The talented forward has just been promoted to the first team set-up at Flamengo, to compensate for the loss of Paulo Guerrero, who failed a doping test after a 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Having recently signed a new deal with the club, Lincoln is valued at €30 million, and Real Madrid should have the upper hand after finding an agreement with his employers for the transfer of Vinicius Junior.
