Emerson Palmieri to reject Galatasaray advances to stay at West Ham

According to Football Insider, West Ham are preparing for a late attempt from Galatasaray to sign Emerson Palmieri.

The Turkish Super Lig club tried first to land Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne to strengthen their left defensive flank but failed, and they’ve therefore turned their attention to Emerson, contracted to the London side until 2026. They’re expected to test the Hammers’ resolve before the transfer window in Turkey closes on September 13th, but as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old Italy international is set to reject their advances in order to remain at his current club, where he’s very happy at the moment.

Emerson was a part of Julen Lopetegui’s starting XI in all three Premier League games so far this season. He joined West Ham from Chelsea two years ago, and has so far made 85 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring three goals and producing four assists.
