Having tied down Dele Alli and Harry Kane with new deals, Tottenham Hotspur have been working on Christian Eriksen being the next on the list. The Denmark international has been a vital player for Mauruzzio Pochettino’s team for several years now with his superb playmaking ability, and and any situation that might lead to a potential parting of ways would represent a significant blow to the north-London club.
And according to The Times, such a situation has arisen as the negotiations over a new deal have reached an impasse. The problem would fall into the uncharted region as Spurs president Daniel Levy is concerned. Levy is used to being in a strong position when it comes to contract or transfer negotiations, but with Eriksen being such an important member of the team and his current deal set to enter the last 12 months next summer, he may well be forced to agree to any demand the midfielder might express in order to avoid losing his services in the near future.
