There’s been a lot of speculation about the future of Erling Haaland lately. The 21-year-old Norwegian striker is believed to have a €75m release clause in his contract with Borussia Dortmund which kicks in this summer, and plenty of clubs are waiting for the first opportunity to trigger it. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been credited with interest, as have Paris Saint-Germain should Kylian Mbappe decide to leave the French capital.
It seems Haaland himself holds all the cards, along with his representatives, but Dortmund, who are said to have offered him a new contract, want to know if he’ll stay or not and they’re pressuring him into making a decision as soon as possible.
