Everton continued their revival under David Moyes with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Leicester City at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have picked up form since Moyes replaced Sean Dyche, and they made it three league wins in a row for the first time this season in style on Saturday.

Abdoulaye Doucoure gave them lift off after just 10 seconds, latching onto Jordan Pickford’s long ball to drill home the fourth-fastest goal in Premier League history.

Beto doubled Everton’s tally soon after with an assured finish after being put through one-on-one and then made it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time in similar fashion, capitalising on unconvincing Leicester defending and exposing their high defensive line after a fine pass from James Garner.

Jesper Lindstrom should have made it 4-0 midway through the second half, but sent a tame finish straight at Mads Hermansen.

Iliman Ndiaye, though, made no such mistake as he capitalised on a defensive mix-up to add further gloss late on as Everton continued their charge away from the relegation battle.

Data Debrief: Record fast start gets Toffees rolling

Any pre-match nerves amongst the Everton fans were eased once Doucoure put the home side in front, with his goal the fastest scored by a home team in Premier League history.

Beto, in for the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin, got in on the act in the sixth minute – that made it the quickest Everton have gone two up in a Premier League game.

The striker’s second goal saw them go 3-0 up at half-time in a successive top-flight match. Everton had not achieved that feat in their past 216 games in the competition.

Leicester, on the other hand, had very few positives to take. They were toothless, generating just 0.4 expected goals and having just one shot on target, which came in the 73rd minute.
