Everton rekindle interest in Brahimi

Premier League outfit Everton are expected to reignite their interest in FC Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Toffees attempted to recruit the Algerian footballer in the summer, but they could not find an agreement with his employers.

However, with the team having largely struggled of late, chances are that manager Ronald Koeman will instruct the club to try and bring Brahimi to Goodison Park in January.

After expressing his desire to leave Estadio do Dragao, the 26-year-old spent a couple of months out of the first team squad, but he has since been slowly returning to the side.

Brahimi scored his first goal of the season in the 3-0 triumph over Arouca, and he will want to put himself in the shop window with few more quality performances.

The Algeria international has been one of FC Porto’s star performers ever since he arrived from Granada, bagging 15 goals in 65 league outings.
