Everton boss Rafa Benitez has been looking for reinforcements in the fullback positions for a while now. The club have already completed and confirmed the arrival of Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kiev to take care of the left defensive flank, with Lucas Digne potentially on his way out of Goodison Park in the near future. Meanwhile, Patterson is expected to provide cover and competition for captain Seamus Coleman on the right.
The 20-year-old is a product of the Rangers academy, and he’s yet to put on a shirt of another club. Since being given a spot in the senior squad in the summer of 2020, he has made a total of 27 appearances for the club, scoring two goals and assisting one more.
