Fabregas shunned two Premier League clubs ahead of Chelsea switch

Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he rejected the opportunity to sign for two other Premier League clubs before joining Chelsea, according to the Daily Star.

The midfielder left Barcelona after three seasons in La Liga back in June and has hit the ground running with Jose Mourinho’s side, playing in all seven of their league games so far and helping them to an unbeaten start which has seen them build a five point lead at the summit.

His former club Arsenal rejected the opportunity to exercise a buy-back clause they had put in place when selling him to Barca, but both Manchester City and Manchester United were linked with moves to secure his services.

The 27 year old is set to win his ninety-third international cap as holders Spain take on Slovakia in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Thursday evening, and is priced at 13/2 to get the first goal of the game.
