Villarreal and Levante played a pre-season friendly on Thursday, which ended goalless.
Roberto Soldado, the 36-year-old striker recently signed by Levante who used to play for Villarreal, committed a really poor tackle of 21-year-old Villarreal defender Jorge Cuenca after coming second in a race for the ball. Poor sportsmanship, unbefitting a player of his Soldado’s experience, for any match, let alone a friendly.
Interestingly enough, Soldado received only a yellow card for it. Because it was a friendly, right?
